Telford is centrally located and is an ideal base for visiting the surrounding area which includes many diverse and interesting areas such as the old market town of Shrewsbury to the west along with Welshpool, the entrance to Wales and the Cambrian mountins. Also the historic location of Ironbridge is only 5 miles away.  The city of Birmingham is also within easy reach for all types of shopping, theatre and dining.

There is so much to see and do within the surrounding area, with the stunning Ironbridge gorge and its ten museums only 5 miles away. The Royal Air Force museum at Cosford is only a 15 minute drive. The Severn Valley Railway that runs from Bridgenorth to Kidderminster is a great way to see the countryside by steam train.
